Mount Bojinjia – The Steep Trail of Guguan Seven Heroes
Bojinjia Trail locates on the north bank of Taiwan’s Dajia River, is renowned for its natural terrain and surroundings. As one of the Seven Heroes of Guguan, Bojinjin attracts hikers for its steepness. If you are new to hiking, it is definitely a big challenge for you, but it is also a good practice for hiking training.
In early 2024, we organized a hiking trip to Bojinja Trail for employees.
For some junior hikers, it is a good test on their limits of endurance and willpower. One participant shared that - despite having little hiking experience, they overcame the obstacles with encouragement and support from other colleagues. It is hard to imagine that reaching the summit without partners.
Participants feel that the toughest part was the 2km steep slope and the rock-climbing near the summit, which is very physical strength demanding. One employee described that he was really exhausted on the trail, but there is always someone beside encouraging him to keep going. Hiking is not just a physical practice, but also kind of mental exercise, however the teammate could be one of the decisive factors to guide you in overcoming the challenges.
Although the journey to the peak was not easy, the landscape from the top just make all efforts worthwhile. Participants expressed that they really appreciated for companionship which made this trip less tough at some extent. This experience also grows their confidence in future challenge for the rest six of Seven Heroes of Guguan.
The beauty of Bojinjia Trail is the best treat after persistent efforts. The first step is always the most difficult, but the reward is beyond expectation. Sometimes you just need to stick on “Just Do It” and make it happen.
